Clearing Cache and Deleting Cookies

Cookies are small data files used by websites to track your internet usage. Cache are temporary data files used by browsers to quickly present websites from previously stored visits.

Please Note: Cookies are essential to some websites. You’ll find some sites don’t work properly without them and will store the Cookies again.



Cookies and Cache
  • Click the menu icon in the top-right corner of the browser window. (On Windows, it will be three line and on macOS, it will be three dots.) 
  • Select “Settings”. (You can also access this option from the File menu on a Mac.)
  • Click “Show Advanced Settings,” at the bottom of the settings page. 

    OR

  • Alternatively, type “chrome://chrome/settings/content” into your address bar and Chrome will take you to your intended destination

To Delete ALL:
  • Click "Clear browsing data.."
  • Select "Cookies and other site plugin data" and "Cached images and files"
  • Click "Clear browsing data"

To Delete Individually:
  • Click “Content Settings” 
  • Click "All cookies and site data.."
  • Search for sites and files
  • Hover over the item and click on the "x" to the right OR Click the "Remove all" button
*Clear Cache shortcut - Press and hold the "Shit" key and click refresh 


Cookies
  • Click the menu in the upper-right corner. 
  • Select “Options/Preferences”. (You can also access this option from the File menu on a Mac)
  • Select the "Privacy" tab
  • Under the "History" section, click "Show Cookies..."

To Delete ALL:
  • Click "Remove All."

To Delete Individually:
  • Search for sites and files
  • Click to highlight. Highlight multiple by holding down the Ctrl(Windows)/command(Mac) Key
  • Click "Remove Selected."
Cache
    • Click the menu in the upper-right corner. 
    • Click “Options/Preferences”. (You can also access this option from the File menu on a Mac)
    • Click the "Advanced" tab
    • Click the "Network" tab
    • Under the "Cached Web Content" section, click "Clear Now"
    *Clear Cache shortcut - Press and hold the "Shit" key and click refresh 



    Cookies and Cache
      • Click the gear icon in the upper-right corner
      • Click "Internet Options"
      • Click the "General" tab

      To Delete ALL:
      • Under the "Browsing History" section, Click "Delete.."
      • Select "Cookies and Website Data"
      • Click "Delete"

      To Delete Individually:
      • Under the "Browsing History" section, Click "Settings"
      • Under the "Temporary Internet Files" section, Click "View Files"
      • Select the files and delete manually

      Microsoft Edge

      Cookies and Cache
          • Click the menu icon in the upper-right corner (it will be three dots)
          • Select "Settings"
          • Scroll down and click "Clear browsing data"
          • Click "Choose what to clear"
          • Select "Cookies and saved website data"
          • Click "Clear"
          *Clear Cache shortcut - Press and hold the "Shit" key and click refresh 


          Safari

          Cookies
                • Click "Safari" on the top menu
                To Delete ALL:
                • Click "Clear History"

                  OR

                • Click "Preferences"
                • Click the "Privacy" tab
                • Click "Remove all website data"
                To Delete Individually:
                • Click "Preferences"
                • Click the "Privacy" tab
                • Click "Details"
                • Search for sites and files
                • Click to highlight. Highlight multiple by holding down the Ctrl(Windows)/command(Mac) Key
                • Click "Remove"
                Cache
                • Click "Develop" on the top menu
                • Click "Empty Caches"

                *Clear Cache shortcut - Press and hold the "Shift" key and click refresh
